A Note from our Seller

Dear Buyers,

Thank you for your interest in this wonderful home. I would like to give you a little background on its history.

Before I begin my tale, I have to say something about the incredible, unblocked view. Every day, every evening, it is different. We never tire of it. It has brought us excitement, peace, and hope. It is breathtaking. One year there was an incredible lightning storm on the bay. We invited
friends over to watch the show.

My husband and I bought this home from the contractor who built it, who had intended to move
his family in, but his business took him South and we were lucky enough to be able to purchase it from him. We have owned this home for 40+years.

At the time we purchased this home, though we planned to move in, our business changed. My husband formed a partnership, which eventually grew into the business Saxon-Hamilton, Executive Management Consultants. He was also a film historian and we ventured into making a couple of small budget movies. We used this home as the base for both ventures. It was an extremely happy place. Everyone that entered was enthralled with the conversation, location and the creativity that was happening. We have had amazing Christmas parties, birthday parties and even weddings in this home.

Of course, the neighborhood changed. Head Royce, a wonderful private school, expanded and purchased the small farm that was located below us. We were worried about the change, but once the field was complete, we, including my children and grandchildren, enjoyed watching the games—which have limited attendance—from our deck. There is a neighborhood group that has relations with the school and the school has been cooperative regarding any issue that any of us
have had.

Someone asked me about the traffic as Lincoln has busy times. The school manages pickups and drop-offs, it is a non-issue. The Churches are also a no issue except the one weekend they put on the Greek Festival—but they give us free tickets and we have never minded it, we have enjoyed their festivities.

There are other good schools, playing fields and swim clubs close by. We belong to the Oakland Hills Tennis Club and my whole family still enjoys the pool, the courts and exercise classes. At one time Head-Royce allowed us to use their courts, perhaps this still could be arranged.

I no longer need such a large house. Lasting friendships and memories have been made here. The new buyers have such an incredible location to create their future and I wish them every success.

All the Best,
